The multi-talented Russian goddess Lady Waks - DJ, Promoter, Producer, Artist, Designer - is proof that Hoodoo has gone truly global. Hailing from St Petersburg, where she founded the legendary club night ‘In Beats We Trust’ and ‘Breaks Arena’, the world’s first (and still the biggest) breaks-only festival. But it is her DJing skills which make her interesting to us… and considerable skills they are. Three International Breakspoll nominations in 2008 alone, playing at clubs and festivals all over the world and, most importantly, producing tracks with basslines and vocals as dirty as she is beautiful.
