ADAM FREELAND - http://www.freeland.fm
The internationally acclaimed DJ has quite simply conquered the globe over the last 8 years. From smash hits to festival headline slots Adam Freeland shows no signs of slowing down as he touches down in Nottingham for a rare UK club appearance. Celebrating the release of his forthcoming album ‘Cope’ this performance may well go down in Stealth folklore. Freeland’s much-anticipated latest traffics in the unexpected—electro beats banging enough to fill dancefloors, yet twisted with sounds and collaborations from uncharted waters. Indeed, Cope ultimately proves a genre-smashing, era-defining call to arms on par with Leftfield’s Leftism, Prodigy’s Fat Of The Land, Daft Punk’s Discovery and Justice’s †, defying expectations of what an electronic album should and could be.

MILES DYSON - http://www.myspace.com/milesdyson
From a 14 year old prodigy to a global phenomenon Miles Dyson is ridiculously overdue in Nottingham. The fact that he runs over 10 labels might also contribute to why he is known as the “CEO of House Music” and “The Donald Trump of Dance Music!” As a producer Miles’ work is now hitting the worldwide mainstream with “Electric Soul One” featuring on the cover of Mix Mag and 30Hz “Daddio Remix and “Miles Ahead” selected on the latest Ministry of Sounds Sessions, “Summer”. Dave Spoon is calling him “The Boy Wonder” and even international press dub him the “Electro-God”. His latest remix work “Daddio” (Lot49) and “Rubber Man” (erase records) both hit download and clubcharts all over the planet at No 1. Nocturnal Magazine said “a sick ass techno-house producer whose eclectic bootleg/remix/hammers keep filling my record bag with goodness. Miles’ richness exudes through the quality of his arrangements & the texture of his sound. Your ready-for-anything dancefloor will thank you later.”

RuN RiOT - http://www.myspace.com/officialrunriot
RuN RiOT has only been in existence since January this year, but since then the man behind the name has set up his own label and invaded the festival circuit. The 23 year old producer is rapidly gaining fans through his powerful and energetic live shows and releases his first 4 track EP named ‘Charge’ on the 25th May on his WE ARE LIVE label. Mixing house with breaks and samples with synths his live performance has already established itself as the not to be missed highlight of festivals across the UK this summer. You heard it here first!

The Vibes:

We have an open music policy enshrined by our eclectic BreaksElectroHouseTechPsyDubFunk policy. Essentially the aim of the night is to provide party music that gets everybody grooving whilst at the same time introducing some lesser well known artists alongside international veterans. We have enjoyed sets as varied as a Gaudi’s Live Dub n Breaks show to a Tom Real and Rogue Element Disco of Doom show. Every night is painstakingly put together to achieve the right balance of familiarity, introduction to new sounds and musical variety. With the development of the Live Room we are thoroughly enjoying getting bands to play at stupid-o’clock with spectacular results!

We love to hear mixes, demos and productions from any artists looking to play at Hoodoo. We always listen to what we are sent and often book DJs as a direct result so do get in touch if you think you have what it takes.

The Vibes:

Hoodoos decorative vibrations include the Shroomanbeing Chillout Area,  turf, mashtrays (mushroom ashtrays), 4D visuals (mental) , fire-breathing magicians, human decor and general high perception inspiration!

Venues and Collaborations:

Within Nottingham, we have held parties all over town; The Rig, Stealth, Rescue Rooms and Gatecrasher. We were really chuffed to host an arena/room at the huge Detonate Indoor Festival 2008 in May. In the past we have also combined on nights with Spectrum with lineups including Evil Nine, Felix da Housecat, Utah Saints, A Skillz and Kid Blue.

Bit of History:

Wishing to take the spirit of Crave indoors for the winter months whilst booking our favourite dj’s on bigger soundsystems, Hoodoo was born with the initial slogan, “Taking the vibe inside!” Since then it has grown into Nottinghams finest opportunity for indoor vibing, providing party-goers with a fusion of the best, most forward-thinking music we can get our hands on with an eye for psychedelic decorative detail. The result is a night where people dance until it closes to the best BreaksElectrohouseTechPsyDubFunk-inspired beats, breaks and soundscapes this side of The Sun. After being nominated in the best club night category at The International Breakspoll Awards at Fabric in Jan 2008 Hoodoo is set to grow at a phenomenal pace with future plans including London, Leeds, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Madrid and Damascus but never forgetting our Nottingham heritage. :-)
